In April 2008,  Mayor Zimmerman attended the New Jersey Conference of Mayors to hear the latest on the State budget and other issues facing New Jersey towns from Governor Jon Corzine and, among others, the commissioners of the departments of Community Affairs, Environmental Protection, Transportation, and Treasury.
